“Maybe the journey isn’t so much about becoming anything. Maybe it’s about un-becoming everything that isn’t really you, so you can be who you were meant to be in the first place.” ― Paul Coelho
Sistership circles are a way to connect to other women in a supportive, non-judgemental environment. This is a space to learn how to be vulnerable, authentic and embody who you really are rather than who you feel you should be or are expected to be. Learning to value the gifts and talents you have rather than self-imposing a level of perfectionism that would forever be unobtainable empowers and supports who you really are. Many wounds in life may have come from other women. Through Sistership Circle, a realisation of and deepening understanding of the wounds others have had in their own lives, how to forgive them and yourself for mistakes and leaning in to the circle when challenges arise can help to let go of trust issues and start to heal wounds.
My whole ethos in life is one of healing and holding others. Everything I have aspired to be has been along these lines, whether it was becoming a nurse, a therapist or a mother. However, it took time for me to realise that I also needed healing and to learn to love myself for who I am. The journey to lead Sistership Circles has been a long one but my heart is about holding a safe space for other women so they can experience the same gift that I had received from learning to understand, trust, forgive and love.
I encourage you to join me to rest, receive and recover from the stress of everyday life in a safe, validating environment of other women.
