!"What do we live for it not to make life less difficult for each other?" ~George Elliot "Love is our true destiny. We do not find the meaning of life by ourselves alone - we find it with another" ~Thomas Merton

Debra is honored to be part of the Sistership Circle and the international movement of Women’s Circles – empowering women to remember who they are in all of their brilliance and the unique and miraculous contribution they make in our world.

She is currently the owner of Yoga Tree Wellness Center in Kenosha and is a Yoga Teacher, Energy/Sound Healer, Personal Trainer and Neurokinetic Therapist. She began her journey with mindfulness and yoga after the sudden death of her toddler daughter, MargaretAnn, in 1998 as a means of self-care to learn to stop, listen and just BE.

Her life’s mission of helping others began at the age of 19 when she became a Police Officer. After five years, she left a promising career in law enforcement to become a Juvenile Social Worker to fulfill her life’s calling of helping others be their best selves. Eight years later after tragedy struck her family, this career change proved to be the foundation for her to become the Founder & CEO a grass roots, nonprofit organization named after her daughter, MargaretAnn. MargaretAnn’s Place – Wisconsin’s Center of Hope for Grieving Children provided free peer support services to grieving children and their families from 1998-2015. In 2012 she signed up for yoga teacher training with the intention of using yoga and mindfulness with the grieving teens she was working with in high schools bereavement peer support groups. Once again this “change” was the foundation for the next path in her journey. She soon stepped away from MargaretAnn’s Place to begin the next chapter of her life as a Yoga Teacher, Energy/Sound Healer and Personal Trainer, with her mission still the same – helping people be their best selves!

The common thread throughout her life’s journey is the power of gathering together to connect, share, empower, heal and transform ourselves – the short version of that is JUST REMEMBERING WHO WE ARE – how we came into this world as perfection, brilliance and MIRACLES!

Debra believes it is through this power of connection and sharing our true, authentic selves that we can fully embrace and claim the brilliance, the unique Miracle and the contribution we each are in this world. This transforming process happens magically when we gather together sharing our true, authentic selves in Circles!
